7 Quick Takes Friday (Vol 36)

1
My brother Chris has been blessed with his first baby! A boy, Tristian Francis, born on Ash Wednesday. Praise the Lord all went well, although poor Chloe was in labour for 30 hours!!. I’m an Aunty again:) We are looking forward to meeting our new little nephew and cousin:)

2
I have rather an eclectic pile of books on my beside table at present. One book is the South Beach Diet. I’m reading about good carbs and bad, good fats and bad etc. Learning lots and thinking.

3
My darling PC gave me a lovely pile of books for my birthday (last week). I’m quite engrossed in Bringing Up Geeks. I won’t share much at this stage as I’m planning on a full post on this topic, I have lots to say.

4
Another little tweak to our lesson structure has produced productive results. After I spend half an hour with the littles I then concentrate on topic areas with my middles before morning tea. Our dailies are done later. Finally we are getting through more work:)

5
We are in a lovely routine with swim squad/lessons. I’ve been playing in the pool with the little ones whilst the others swim. They love splashing in the water with Mum; a slower pace of life, this is what it is all about. So often I get involved in doing and not being.

6
I have been reading a delightful blog, Elizabeth Esther. She has an amazing story to tell! She is articulate, fascinating and courageous.

I know I haven’t posted any extension posts for a couple of weeks but I assure you lots of progress has occurred. If you have been following, do check over the weekend as I think you’ll have a lovely surprise:)

    Dear Erin,
Congratulations to you auntie and to Chris and Chloe. I can't believe the time has gone so fast.
I love that you are getting so much work done at lessons. We have had a non productive week here . Hopefully next week we will get back on track.
Can't wait to see some more house stuff. Wish we could visit though and see it in person.
    God Bless
