Celebrating The Feast of St Valentine

posted in: Blog, Liturgical Year | 2

Rather unexpectedly and totally unplanned we managed in a small way to celebrate St Valentine’s Day.

For the past few years we haven’t been very successful in celebrating the Liturgical Year, so when something actually occurs it is monumental and must be recorded for the annals of family  history.

If anyone has advice and tips to help me out of this slump I’m love to hear.

  1. Love the photos! I have been contemplating the same thing — a liturgical year drop-out here. I finally decided that I would make a list of feast days to celebrate and one or two small traditions for each (mostly food related, it seems). Then we will spend the year trying on these simple traditions. The good ones stay, the one we don't care for get replaced. Later, rinse, repeat. I will let you know how it goes. List is in progress.

  2. Well I've written the list, at least the children's name days, but that is as far as I've got.
