June – Sacred Heart of Jesus

posted in: Blog, Liturgical Year | 0

Early June we once again gathered with friends for an afternoon of ‘Faith and Fellowship‘.  Our theme of course was the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  After discussing with the children the devotion to the Sacred Heart, its origins and little aspirations(prayers) we can pray, some of the children enjoyed craft activities, others were keen to head out and play:)

Activities enjoyed by the little ones were colouring and  creating holy card pictures. The older children inspired by Cherished Hearts at Home sewed Sacred Hearts, although we substituted fabric for felt.

A couple of other inspiring ideas gathered but we didn’t manage to do were prayer hearts hung on streamers and an altar.
*Alas no photos as we were so busy enjoying company I forgot to take any.
