2019: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year ๐Ÿ™‚ May 2019 bring you many blessings.

Well we’ve had the laziest start to the New Year; late nights, late mornings, loads of reading, jigsaw ‘battles’, board games, floating away hours in our new little pool, days by the River, essentially the perfect recipe for Summer days, recharging from an epic year and gearing up for no doubt another epic year.

At some stage during our children’s teen years our lives became, full to the brim and overflowing and they have flowed continuously since.

This year our eldest Son Carpenter will marry his darling fiancee Rose, so I imagine that will guarantee to top our charts of Life for some time! ๐Ÿ™‚

And of course I’m starting off the year with a bang, hosting a workshop in the Australian Homeschool Summit about Australian Books, topic not a surprise I’m sure ๐Ÿ™‚

In years past along with many others I’ve selected a Word, this year I wasn’t really inclined to, to often my Words/Intentions/Resolutions/Goals seem rather a variation along similar lines, in fact the first Word that came to me was Consistency. When I read back over old New Year postsย  I realised that Word is simply a variation on my past Words, they’re all of a similar refrain, all circling my same weaknesses, same old, same old.ย  So after a day of thinking, “I have my Word, Consistency, finally the solution to all my failings! 2019 will be an incredible year, I’ll be Simply the Best!” I had a reality check none of this was going to happen, not without something more essential occurring.ย  Then I had my Word! A Word I’m actually excited about because it not only addresses the root cause but it sparkles with possibilities.

My Word for 2019 is: Energy

I’m really excited about Energy as itย has huge potential, it’s positive, it’s motivating, it’s empowering ๐Ÿ™‚

In so many areas of my life that I’d love to concentrate on; health, fitness, relationships, parenting, prayer life, education, home management, I need energy. I can have all the best intentions but if I’ve ‘nothing in the tank’, then nothing can flourish.ย  I need to simply focus on that one thing, nurturing Energy, then everything else will flow.ย  So how to nurture Energy? First up is to eat and sleep well, it’s amazing what a difference that makes. I intend on focusing on exercise too as I know that boosts my energy, it has a domino effect.

Energy is an empowering word, excited about the possibilities of 2019 ๐Ÿ™‚

To my loyal readers and commentators, I’d like to Thank You. Your support and encouragement are treasured, you’re the reason I keep writing ๐Ÿ™‚

To my new readers, welcome, I’d love you to drop me a line and introduce yourself.

To all readers, ‘old’ and new, if you have a suggestion, a request of what youโ€™d like me to share with you in 2019, Iโ€™m eager to hear and shall do my best to satisfy your wish, fitting around the margins of Life. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish you all a fantastic 2019.

Happy new year. Energy is a great focus for the year.

I love all your tales, and especially love your monthly round ups of whatโ€™s been happening. I also love it when you share organising tips for family life. Very wise.
