Wattle Gum Curriculum Foundation English – Seven Little Australians & Counting

The focus in Foundation English is on three connected strands; Language, Literature and Literacy.

These strands focus on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.
They cover: listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and creating.
Your child will be building on skills learnt in earlier years.
Many English skills are learnt and supported by cross-curricular learning.
Immersion in quality literature across each subject covers much of the English strands.
