In Year 2 your child will:

  • be developing an understanding of themselves and others.
  • they will be developing personal and social skills.

These include skills in:

  • leadership
  • communication and collaboration
  • Problem-solving
  • persistence
  • decision-making
  • emotional responses
  • Assist them in developing an understanding of the importance of empathy and respect.
  • To initiate and maintain relationships and to include others.

 

Your child will

  • Consider healthy and safe choices about physical activity and health behaviours.
  • Develop their movement ability.
  • Learn about the benefits of regular physical activity.
  • Have conversations about healthy behaviours and choices.
  • Guide your child in social skills, to be compassionate to and respectful of others.
  • To self regulate their emotions.
  • Encouragement regards the importance of, and to be physically active.

Many of these skills and conversations are naturally covered in our lives as home educating families.

Many home educating families are naturally active.

Some families also choose to participate in sporting activities outside of the home.
