Wattle Gum Curriculum Year 2 Science

The Science focus in Year 2 is on four areas: biological, chemical, earth and space and physical sciences.

  • We will look at how living things grow and survive.
  • How different materials can be combined for a particular purpose.
  • That Earth’s resources are used in a variety of ways.
  • That a push or a pull affects how an object moves or changes shape.

  • Encourage your child’s questions and predictions, their observation and analytical skills.
  • These are important approaches to engage your child in science.

Our Science curriculum, resource recommendations and implementation instructions are in the printable pdf.
