Wattle Gum Curriculum Year 3 English
The focus in Year 3 is on three connected strands; Language, Literature and Literacy. These strands focus on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and skills. Listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and creating. Your child will be building on skills learnt in earlier years.
Immersion in quality literature across each subject covers much of the English strands. Some skills will also need focus. Many English skills are learnt and supported by cross-curricular learning.
