Wattle Gum Curriculum Year 3 Maths

Maths strands in Year 3 are; numbers, algebra, measurement, space, statistics and probability. Your child will learn how to add and subtract three digit numbers. Solve problems with single digit multiplication and division. Use metric units for measurement. Year 3 is building on prior learning and developing reasoning and problem-solving skills.

We encourage using both a formal maths program and the reading of living maths books. Maths concepts and skills are integrated within the storylines. Also, use concrete materials, including board games.
