Wattle Gum Curriculum Year 4 Science

The Science focus in Year 4 is on four areas: biological, chemical, earth and space and physical sciences.

• We will look at the roles of organisms in habitats & food chains
• We will look at water sources and its movement through the environment.
• Identify forces acting on objects
• Examine the properties of natural and made materials
• Undertake an 18 month focus on Australian Nature Studies.

• Encourage your child’s questions and predictions, their observation and analytical skills.
• These are important approaches to engage your child in science.
