The focus in Year 5 English is on three connected strands; Language, Literature and Literacy.
- These strands focus on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.
- They cover: listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and creating.
- Your child will be building on skills learnt in earlier years.
- Many English skills are learnt and supported by cross-curricular learning.
