Wattle Gum Curriculum Year 6 Science

The Science focus in Year 6 is on four areas: biological, chemical, earth and space and physical sciences.

• We will look at how physical conditions affect living things
• We will look at the movement of earth and plants to the sun
• We will look at the transfer and transformation of electrical energy
• We will study the changes of state to substances

• Encourage your child’s questions and predictions, their observation and analytical skills.
• These are important approaches to engage your child in science.
