My Daybook: October 1st, 2014 – Seven Little Australians & Counting

Outside my window…
The sun is shining, Spring is certainly here:) Always happy to wave Winter goodbye, how do people cope with gloomy winters? I couldn’t.

I am thankful…
for family. We’ve had a whole lot of family time recently, first my brother’s wedding, then family time on Sunday with an interstate brother and his family, followed by a visit for a couple of days:):):)
Tonight our College boy arrives home for a few days!!!!! and PC’s mother:) Then we’ll be seeing PC’s entire family at his nephew’s wedding this weekend:):):)

I am thinking…
about the blessings of family. I’m one of eight, PC one of seven, that equals a whole lot of family!:)

Learning all the time…
It’s holiday’s here, our energies are focused on painting bathrooms, weeding the veggie garden and building a cubby house:)

Celebrating the liturgical year……
We celebrated The Feast of St Michael this week with a Devil’s Food Cake, today we’re planning on celebrating the Feast of St Therese with a Red Velvet Cake
We also celebrated Jem’s birthday last week, and Princess’ 13th is next week.

From the kitchen…
well cakes obviously. Mostly though I’m tossing around planning ideas for our new kitchen space.

I am creating…
beautiful bathrooms; the white walls with the white wall tiles was the perfect choice:) Reveal to be soon.

I am working on…
clothing preparations for the Wedding and travel plans

I am going…
to our nephew’s wedding:) Can’t wait!!

I am hoping…
for a productive last Term this year regards lessons

I am praying…

for my children
for babies; my brother’s, PC’s nephew’s
for our six family members; brothers/nephews/nieces and their new spouses/fiancee’s!!! Tis ‘the year of love’!

I am pondering….
the focus for Einstein’s last Term with us. Only a few more months and he ‘graduates’:(

I am reading…
re-reading girl fiction, Little Men (LM Alcott) and Miss Pym Disposes (Josephine Tey)

I am listening to……
nothing at present

I am hearing…
children playing; Bass on the computer, older children in the pool.

I am struggling…
shifting mindsets from all the many major activities we have enjoyed/survived within the last month, to planning lessons for our new Term next week
