Treasured Moments (2)

Do you find yourself falling into a pattern of daily grind, skipping the ‘fun’ activities because you don’t have time or lack energy?

Do creative arts, nature walks, drama, read alouds or spontaneous acts seem only a distant dream in your life?

Yet these Treasured Moments shared with loved ones uplift us, nurture our soul, remind us of the beauty and joy in our lives.

We want Treasured Moments for ourselves, for our children, for our families but how can we make it happen?

… Commitment … Encouragement … Support … Ideas … Plans.

I invite you to join us every Saturday and share your plans and ideas, your targets and goals and your stories … your ‘Treasured Moments’. In this way we may inspire one another, encourage ourselves and start achieving our dreams.

1 We read a few chapters of our ongoing read aloud, Penderwicks on Gardam Street. This is such a fun read aloud we are really enjoying it. We even managed some time again outside in the sun.

This was one of those weeks where I fall into the ‘lack energy’ category, one Treasured Moment was indeed an achievement.

To join in you are welcome to add your post here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual post) and include a link back here. If you haven’t a blog we would still love to hear your voice, just leave your stories in the comments.

I look forward to reading your Treasured Moments!

I didn't have time today to figure out the little logo and Mr. Linky. I'm terrible about that stuff! But I did want to contribute.

    1) Finished our first Read-Aloud with Thornton Burgess. We're hooked, and looking forward to other adventures.

    2) Did some watercoloring this week, watching Beginning Watercolor Journaling with son to get inspired.

    3) Ds used perler beads several times this week to make beautiful things.

    4) I've been writing notes at a steady pace, preparing book ideas and outline.

We've had several wonderful moments this week.

    1) I've been doing picture books at random intervals during the day. The surprise aspect has been really great.

    2) On Friday I thought we'd try doing a lapbook. DS wanted to do spiders (not my choice at all) so we looked up spiders on the computer. Found a lovely redback picture to colour in. My Usborne book of animals had a great page on spiders. Then we checked out webs on the front verandah.

    3) We finished Friday off by completing a cardboard castle – started several weeks ago but never finished. DS loves cutting so he was in his element cutting out parapets and drawbridges. A really good way to finish off the week. I think I'll try and make this part of our week.
