The focus in Year 2 English is on three connected strands;  Language, Literature and Literacy.

• These strands focus on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and skills.
• They cover: listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and creating.
• Your child will be building on skills learnt in earlier years.
• Many English skills are learnt and supported by cross-curricular learning.
• Immersion in quality literature across each subject covers much of the English strands.
