Nicole lives in Millaa Millaa, in tropical Queensland, Australia. Her pen pal, Jack, lives in the United Kingdom and is very interested in the tropical rainforest that surrounds Milaa Milaa. Through their letters we learn about the struggle between environmental groups who want to preserve the rainforest and the forest industries that provide employment by cutting down the trees. Can a solution be found to save the rainforest and keep everyone happy?
