The Science focus in Year 5 is on four areas: biological, chemical, earth and space and physical sciences.

• We will look at how living things survive
• We will look at changes to the earths surface through erosion
• We will look at Basic Chemistry
• Study the Human Body
• Complete an 18 month focus on Australian Nature Studies.

• Encourage your child’s questions and predictions, their observation and analytical skills.
• These are important approaches to engage your child in science.
