My Children, I Praise You!
Once upon a time large families were not unusual, children were not different from their playmates because they had several siblings, they did not have people openly counting heads and making comments in their presence. Growing up a child in a large family today requires a certain humility, a particular brand of courage which leaves an indelible mark upon the soul.
To My Children I give Praise.
I give praise to the times I see them deny their wants to tend to the needs of their parents and siblings. I give praise when they come immediately when called, I give praise when they willingly take care of younger siblings, I give praise when they go that ‘extra mile’ to do more than was asked of them, I give praise when they comfort a crying sibling, I give praise when they play with their siblings, I give praise when they encourage their siblings, I give praise when they complete their tasks, I give praise for their good attitudes, I give praise for little kindnesses, I give praise for their household help, I give praise for their charity, I give praise for their acceptance, I give praise when they willingly and excitedly accept another life into their family, I give praise for the joy and completeness they bring to my life.
To my Loving Father I Give Praise for the Gift of my Children.
