    It’s My Party – Four Decades!!

    This week I celebrated my 40th birthday!!!  Two days prior PC celebrated his birthday:):) PC totally spoilt me with our first brand new lounge!  A leather lounge!! which we can all sit together on:)  Words can’t express how much I enjoy this lounge. PC also delighted me with a trip away for a day and two nights to a Resort!  Just imagine all that time alone with only a baby.  You can bet we enjoyed being able to converse without interruptions, to meander at will through the day.     Happy New Year, 2012

    Every New Year for the last three years, I have chosen a Word that helps me focus on an area of importance throughout the year.  Glancing back over the words of the last few years I see; Savour/Treasure/Memories and Habits/Self-Discipline, note, two common threads here.   I had been thinking ‘In the Moment’ for 2012 but tonight when I shared my observations about the commonality with my family, Anna Maria asked a thought provoking question.  Why did I keep having a similar themed word?  Was it that the similar words were a continual area of interest, or do I feel I keep failing to reach my Word goal?  PC feels it is the first.…

    To Have and to Hold

    Nineteen years ago on this day, I married my beloved.  On that day I was madly in love with my best friend. Today nineteen years later I am still crazily in love with him, though the love has changed, to a deeper, richer love.  Love strengthened and forged by years filled with children, love and laughter, trials and triumph.   A life packed with family needs, house buildings, career changes, study and so many other challenges.  They have been busy years, rich years and definitely blessed years.     Receiving Confirmation and First Holy Communion

    Tuesday 13th was a huge day for our family. Michelangelo received the Gifts of the Holy Spirit when he made his Confirmation, taking the name Bernard. Jelly Bean made her First Holy Communion. Yes, this is the moment when Mama burst into tears as JB bought up the Offertory Gifts. As with their older siblings our two made their Sacraments at our Catholic Homeschool Camp with our Bishop.  Once again a beautiful Mass. Michelangelo with our Bishop. Our handsome boy, looking so grown up. Einstein was very honoured when Michelangelo asked him to be his sponsor.  He takes his role very seriously. There is something so precious about little girls…
