A Week of Surf & Faith
We have just returned from our annual Catholic Home Education camp (our 14th year) a week of sand and surf, our children love the opportunity to swim at the beach daily. We were blessed to have daily Mass with our camp chaplain, Father Terence-Mary gathering together with all camp attendees. Each evening we concluded the day with Benediction and the Rosary always a highlight. Every night after prayers we enjoyed various activities; ice breaker games, quiz nights and on the final night the children produced a play. They worked diligently towards this event every day and impressed and entertained us with their talent. We couldn’t run our camps without the…

Annual Athletics Carnival – 15th Year
*All photo credits go to our daughter Anna Maria, the official photographer of the day, who took over 1,300 photos on the day!! Monday saw us enjoying our annual Home Education Athletics Carnival. Hard to believe it has been 15 years since our local group began hosting this event, in fact when we began this lad was a new babe in arms. This year was his final year to compete and he really gave it his all. The passion, determination and skill of 17 year old boys is impressive to say the least. The skill of 15 year old boys is rather remarkable too.…

Homeschool Camp – 13th Year
Last week saw us once again enjoying our annual homeschool camp. Three of our children were blessed to make their Sacraments, what a wonderful day. We enjoyed many team building activities and daily Mass and Benediction. As well as catechetical groups, beach play, walking along the headlands, concert night and many hours of socialising. Another wonderful year, Deo Gratias.

12th Year of Faith, Fellowship and Fun
Every year, for the past 12 years we have been blessed to enjoy a week of camping with fellow Catholic home educating families. A week of fun and fellowship, sharing our faith, beginning our days with Mass and ending with the Rosary and Benediction. Each year we celebrate First Holy Communion and Confirmation. This year our god-daughter was Confirmed and it was a privilege to be her sponsor and for both of us to be there with her. Our young people are happy to gather together as a choir and support the Mass with their instrumental talents. We are profoundly grateful for their willingness and abilities. There is something rather special about young men singing for…

A Week of Friendship and Fun
Once again we were blessed to enjoy a week of fun and friendship after camp with the M family. The first night we (19 of us) headed in to watch Carpenter’s soccer Grand Final. The first time the M’s had watched a soccer game, so a rough grand final was rather a culture shock. With the M’s, and two local families; the Rs and Ls, 36 people turned up to support Carpenter, we filled a bleacher! Carpenter began the game on the bench, so when he ran onto the field a roar went up from the stand, “Carpenter!” which was heard from the other side of the field. Carpenter sweetly turned, waved, grinned at…

Homeschool Camp – 11th Year
A fortnight ago we were blessed to once again enjoy our annual Catholic Home Education camp. This year we were thrilled to have a large, enthusiastic choir for our annual Confirmation/First Holy Communion Mass. Our two eldest are in the centre, in the two back rows. After the Mass (in which two of ours received Sacraments) we celebrated with cake and party. Each day we enjoyed different activities, this year we visited a local rock pool. It was such a beautiful, sunny day. The children were fascinated by the marine life. Little ones took the opportunity to cool off in the rock pools. Our days were centred around our Faith, including daily Mass and daily catechetical talks…
