A Son’s Gift to his Mother
Just in time for Advent, Dawn at Sun and Candlelight is hosting the Loveliness of Handmade Gifts. Be sure to ‘drop’ in and be inspired by the many talented ladies and their gifts. Last year we shared gifts made by Koala and Prince Charming. This year I would like to share what my Carpenter has made for me:) At the beginning of Advent last year I was lamenting the fact that we didn’t have a ‘real’ manger, the dolls cradle we’d used for years, although made of wood wasn’t quite authentic. I could hear Carpenter busy hammering in the garage but was under strict instruction not to peek. A few…

I do that?? :)Thank you Andrea:):):) In turn I get to bestow Nice Awards on a few of the wonderful inspirational blogs written by fellow homeschooling mothers. The trouble is they are all so nice. I nominate: Lynn at Signs and…

Loveliness of Lesson Plans
Lately I have been reflecting a great deal on where we have come from in our Home Education journey and the direction our ‘express train’ is hurtling towards. Hurtling is the word, with Koala turning 14 this month I am all too aware of time running short, of skills untaught, words unsaid. I am only too aware of the rest of ‘The Seven’ following in close footsteps behind. When Kim at Starry Sky Ranch offered to Host another Living Lives of Loveliness Fair I thought it may be beneficial for some of my loyal and much appreciated readers 🙂 if I shared my notes and plans here. This post is…

Loveliness of Homemade Gifts Fair
Announcing another Loveliness Fair by the ladies at 4Real Learning! This Fair, The Loveliness of Homemade Gifts is hosted byDawn at ‘Sun and Candlelight’ Our family would like to share some homemade gifts they are not made by me (no I am not that talented) but were made by my children for Christmas’ Past and Birthdays. This bookmark was made by Koala(13) last year for her brother. Her idea is each sibling receives one once they are independently reading. A lovely incentive that encourages reading and a great commemoration of achievement. This gift would have to be the most used item in our household because the cross-stitiching is done on…
