Treasured Moments (1)
Do you find yourself falling into a pattern of daily grind, skipping the ‘fun’ activities because you don’t have time or lack energy?
Do creative arts, nature walks, drama, read alouds or spontaneous acts seem only a distant dream in your life?
Yet these Treasured Moments shared with loved ones uplift us, nurture our soul, remind us of the beauty and joy in our lives.
We want Treasured Moments for ourselves, for our children, for our families but how can we make it happen?
… Commitment … Encouragement … Support … Ideas … Plans.
I invite you to join us every Saturday and share your plans and ideas, your targets and goals and your stories … your ‘Treasured Moments’. In this way we may inspire one another, encourage ourselves and start achieving our dreams.
1. On Tuesday I committed to 3 picture books a day and told Princess so she would ‘gently’ remind me, we managed this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. She is choosing the books, she got so carried away she decided to re-organise her bookcase and ‘toss’ the books she is not interested in. Currently her floor is covered in books.
2. I have committed to a daily Nature Walk. On Monday the middles and littles and I made it to the creek … and back 😉 Pushing a pram full of ‘special rocks’ home with the baby through the paddock was a tough workout. The children enjoyed ‘building bridges’ and showing me a deserted platypus burrow. Incredibly the boys have slithered into this burrow before. Well once was a start:)
3. Managed to read one chapter of Penderwicks on Gardam Street with Michelangelo and Princess nearly every day this week. Our favourite morning was Thursday when we layed on a blanket and read in the sun. Princess being bit by a green ant was rather a dampener. Michelangelo just loves the Penderwicks.
4. This afternoon I said yes to Jelly Bean’s request for afternoon tea. It’s been too long since our last tea. She is rather hilarious with her ‘company manners.’ She was so happy … we stayed for a second pot!

Dear Erin,
Of course I'm in, although this week has been very 'no frills' with the children sick and Stephen home
