“Come As Your Favourite Animated Character”
Mega Birthday week this week. Jack Jack and Jelly Bean turned 8 & 10 respectively and Michelangelo 15. We celebrated the younger two’s birthday with a themed party, “Come as your favourite animated character”. Jack Jack was Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon). His whole outfit was courtesy of op-shop hunting one afternoon, we really hit the ‘motherlode’; green leggings, green velvet top, a brown woolen scarf and a dressing gown, with which a bit of judicious ripping and hemming became a vest. Fortunately his sister had a pair of boots that fit too. Jelly Bean of course was Princess Anna from Frozen, our girls’ favourite movie. Wearing an…

2014: Word, Goals
Happy New Year!! A New Year, full of new possibilities, new opportunities, new experiences all waiting to unfurl. A New Year always brings with it the thought of fresh starts, a chance to begin again. Yet are we really beginning anew? It’s rather difficult when we aren’t starting with a blank slate, we travel into the New Year with ourselves, with our past successes and imperfections already imprinted. Reflecting over my past words and resolutions I see that my interests haven’t changed, each year I still struggle in certain areas, my goals are relatively the same, and I’m good with this, I’m comfortable. The word that has chosen me this year I’m…

We are very grateful that all went well (it was a long couple of days) We’re home now and looking forward to focusing on Christmas and just enjoying our little girl. Still in shock. Homeschool Camp – 13th Year
Last week saw us once again enjoying our annual homeschool camp. Three of our children were blessed to make their Sacraments, what a wonderful day. We enjoyed many team building activities and daily Mass and Benediction. As well as catechetical groups, beach play, walking along the headlands, concert night and many hours of socialising. Another wonderful year, Deo Gratias.

A Very Special Christmas Gift
Christmas this year is eagerly anticipated in our home, we are already counting down the months until the Birth of the Christ Child, not only because it will be His Birth, but….. this Christmas we will be holding in our arms our precious new Gift from God. Baby is due to be born December 22nd but as is well known, they come on their timetable (mummy is praying early, thank you;) Our children are all so very excited, every day they chat about the baby, give her/him a little caress, and bemoan just how long they have to wait until the arrival. The joy in which they all received our…

Happy 18th Carpenter
Happy 18th Carpenter{{{}}} Words simply cannot express how proud we are of the young man you have become and the direction you are taking. In the last several months you have matured immensely, a door opened for you and you stepped forth in Faith, leaving home and beginning College. Well done Son, we love you so very much, we miss you daily but are so very happy for you{{{{{}}}}} Carpenter’s birthday was actually last week and we and a couple of his local friends headed down to the…
